Effective date: June 20, 2025

The Madden Academy ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you visit the-madden-academy.vercel.app or purchase our courses. Please read it carefully.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

When you purchase a course, create an account, or contact us, we collect your name, email address, billing address, and payment details. Payment card data is processed securely by our payment processor (Stripe / WooCommerce) and is never stored on our servers.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we automatically receive your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and the dates and times of your visits. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect this data.

Information from third parties

We may receive information about you from third-party services such as Google Analytics, YouTube (for embedded video), and our payment processors. This information is used solely to improve our services.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Process and fulfill your course purchases and deliver access to course content.
  • Send transactional emails (receipts, account access, password resets).
  • Send marketing emails about new courses, promotions, and updates — you may unsubscribe at any time.
  • Respond to your support requests and questions.
  • Improve the website, course content, and our services based on usage patterns.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Detect and prevent fraud and security incidents.

3. Cookies & Tracking

What we use

We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and analyze site traffic. We also use Google Analytics (which sets its own cookies) and YouTube embeds (which may set cookies when you interact with videos).

Your choices

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. Disabling cookies may affect your ability to log in or use certain features of our site. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your data.

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Service providers

We share data with trusted vendors who help us operate our business: payment processors (Stripe), email marketing platforms (ConvertKit / ActiveCampaign), hosting providers (Vercel), analytics (Google Analytics), and community platforms (Discord, Skool). These vendors are bound by confidentiality obligations.

Legal requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records (e.g., financial transactions).

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure payment processing, and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

7. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

8. Your Rights

Access & correction

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you and ask us to correct any inaccuracies.

Deletion

You may request that we delete your personal data. We will honor this request subject to any legal retention requirements.

Opt-out of marketing

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You may also email us directly to be removed from our list.

California residents (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information).

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
